What the bike trainer finder choices actually mean

This guide explains what each non-neutral finder choice means in the currently reviewed US configurations. A match means that one documented operating plan satisfies the selected rule; it is not proof that your exact bicycle fits, an app remains compatible, a seller has stock, or every product on the market has been reviewed. Use each finder link to see the whole matching set for that exact condition, then read its model assessments and verify the exact package.

Choose direct drive when rear-wheel-off setup works for you

The direct-drive option means remove your bike's rear wheel and attach its frame at an adapter-matched trainer axle; it does not certify your frame or drivetrain fit.

Garmin's U.S. FLUX 2 part T2980.60 adds another direct-drive smart setup with no cassette or Cog/Click, but its Type 1 and Type 2 axle revisions must be checked separately. Read the FLUX 2 assessment before matching its axle and cassette body to your bicycle.

Garmin's exact U.S. NEO 3M part 010-02808-60 adds a current-reference direct-drive cassette package with built-in motion plates; the NEO 2T parts T2875.60 and 010-04791-60 remain separate boxes.

JetBlack’s VICTORY V2 (JBT-VIC2-ZC-A) is a current-reference direct-drive smart package with Cog1.1 and Click V2, not a cassette. JetBlack lists a 16% maximum simulated grade and says virtual shifting works only with Zwift; verify the exact axle, drivetrain, app support and offer before purchase. Its V2 product-page photo shows the trainer and Cog, but not the Click controller or complete box.

Elite’s Justo 2 with Zwift Cog and Click is another current-reference direct-drive setup, but it is not the standard 0211005EXUE cassette package: the manufacturer defines a separate preassembled Cog/Click version, while the U.S.-located eBay listing exposes no Elite MPN and does not itemize the full seller carton. Confirm the exact box and axle/drivetrain fit. See the same direct-drive-only result.

The same-condition finder link below returns twenty current-reference direct-drive configurations by default, because earlier models stay out unless you opt in. Elite Turno MPN 0172001 is the manual, speed-progressive fluid-resistance exception: its integrated Misuro B+ transmits data one-way but does not let an app change resistance. The exact Starbike listing shows a U.S.A. shipping table, but no U.S. checkout, delivered carton, domestic distribution or seller warranty was verified; its “EU/German power plug” line also conflicts with Elite's no-power-supply sheet. Turno is a separate no-cassette trainer, and its grade maximum is undocumented. The other configurations include a range of package choices: Justo 2 Yellow is a distinct cassette-equipped 0211005Y edition with the same source-published 24% grade limit as standard Justo 2. A possible U.S.-destination route is inferred from a Germany-based seller's worldwide-to-all-countries claim; it is not a confirmed U.S.-specific seller route, domestic offer or tested checkout. The standard Elite Justo 2 review covers a different 12-speed cassette-equipped package; the earlier US Justo offer has app-controlled resistance but its importer does not identify the cassette or full box contents; standard Elite Avanti and Rivo packages require you to select a compatible cassette separately; and the Wahoo CORE 2 Cog and Click package uses a single-speed Cog instead of an installed multi-sprocket cassette. The two reviewed Tacx Nēra packages are direct-drive and smart, but U.S. part 010-02418-60 supplies an 11-speed cassette while 010-04825-60 supplies Zwift Cog and Click. Garmin's exact U.S. NEO 2T part T2875.60 is the standard cassette-body package with no cassette, while part 010-04791-60 is the separate Cog-and-Click configuration. The FLUX 2 T2980.60 adds a no-cassette direct-drive smart package; Garmin's Type 1 and Type 2 axle revisions are not interchangeable for every bicycle. By contrast, the U.S. NEO 3M part 010-02808-60 is the current-reference cassette-equipped package with integrated motion plates. These are not interchangeable box contents. Include earlier models only if the separate Direto XR-T Cog/Click and no-cassette packages are relevant. Start by checking axle, frame clearance, cassette/freehub, chain and shifting plan against the exact bike.

The earlier US Justo offer is still a direct-drive app-controlled match, but its importer does not identify the cassette or full box contents.

The earlier Saris H3 Plus 9835T is another direct-drive app-controlled setup; its maker-listed box has a freehub but no cassette, and the product page showed No Longer Available / Sold Out on 2026-10-30, a dated listing state only. It appears in this direct-drive shortlist only when earlier generations are enabled.

  • Standard Elite Justo 2 and the distinct Yellow edition are cassette-equipped Elite examples. Yellow has global MPN 0211005Y and a preinstalled 12-speed road cassette; its observed U.S.-destination offer is cross-border, not a confirmed U.S.-importer package. Either cassette still needs to match the bicycle's drivetrain.
  • The earlier US Elite Justo is a distinct app-controlled model, but the official importer does not confirm its cassette or complete box contents.
  • Standard Elite Avanti and standard Elite Rivo are cassette-free packages, so the buyer's cassette choice remains part of setup.
  • Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 with Zwift Cog and Click shows the distinct virtual-shifting route; check current software and drivetrain exceptions.
  • Tacx Nēra 010-02418-60 is the current Nēra cassette package; Nēra 010-04825-60 is a separate Cog-and-Click package with a different drivetrain routine.
  • NEO 2T part 010-04791-60 is another distinct Cog-and-Click direct-drive package; check its exact box adapters and use supported virtual shifting rather than assuming a cassette is installed.
  • Standard NEO 2T part T2875.60 includes a Shimano/SRAM cassette body but no cassette or Cog/Click; choose and verify a separate cassette before using ordinary rear-derailleur shifting.
  • FLUX 2 part T2980.60 also has no cassette or Cog/Click. Garmin documents two axle revisions, and its comparison and manual differ in some cassette-speed wording, so check the exact unit and drivetrain.
  • NEO 3M part 010-02808-60 is a different smart direct-drive package with an installed Shimano/SRAM 11-speed cassette and built-in motion plates. Garmin lists a 25% simulated-grade maximum; its separate Cog/Click option is not included in this reviewed box.
  • Elite Turno MPN 0172001 is direct-drive but non-interactive: its fluid resistance follows bicycle speed and its integrated Misuro B+ only transmits data. The manufacturer lists a freehub, not a supplied cassette. The cross-border seller showed U.S. shipping but no checkout, complete carton, domestic warranty or delivery timing was verified.

Find all twenty current-reference direct-drive setups

Twenty current-reference direct-drive configurations match this answer, including JetBlack VICTORY V2 as a Cog/Click direct-drive option, alongside Elite Turno, Justo 2 Yellow and distinct Justo 2 Cog/Click packages.

Choose wheel-on when the rear wheel should stay installed

Wheel-on means the bike's rear tire stays on the bike and presses against a trainer roller; it is not the same as free-standing rollers.

Thirteen individually assessed configurations match wheel-on, including four current Saris setups—the M2 9930T and three Fluid² configurations (basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1). Elite Tuo controls resistance at the rear tire and estimates power; Wahoo KICKR ROLLR has a front-wheel gripper and paired rear rollers, but remains a framed wheel-on setup. Elite Novo Force and Elite Qubo Fluid use manual magnetic and progressive-fluid resistance; the distinct Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ MPN 0121026 has eight manually selected magnetic levels and is classified non-interactive. Elite's current page and sheet conflict on its Misuro B+ sensor, and their flywheel figures conflict (2 kg versus 2.3 kg), so neither sensor inclusion nor flywheel mass is treated as settled; the grade maximum is undocumented. A cross-border retailer reader showed a U.S. shipping charge, but direct retrieval was blocked and no checkout, seller carton or domestic distribution was verified. Saris Mag 1020T has five trainer-side settings while Mag+ 9902T has a cable-operated handlebar shifter. Saris M2 9930T is a powered electromagnetic smart setup with integrated speed, cadence and power reporting: read its separate M2 assessment for the 15% maker-stated grade, powered operation and exact wheel/tire/axle checks. Fluid² Basic 9904T has manual progressive-fluid resistance and no included sensor; Smart Equipped 9907T adds a dual-band data sensor and leveling block, while the separate AMZSAR9907TKIT1 bundle lists a riser, mat and towel too. Neither sensor package makes the fluid resistance app-controlled. Garmin/Tacx Boost has two distinct U.S.-observed packages: base part 010-02419-01 has ten manual magnetic positions; 010-02419-02 adds a data sensor. Check each bicycle's tire, axle and exact seller box rather than treating wheel-on as universal fit.

Choose rollers only if balancing on moving drums is the intended setup

On free-standing rollers, the bicycle is not clamped at its rear axle; its wheels ride on moving drums and the rider balances the bike. Confirm the exact roller's wheelbase range, drum arrangement and any resistance or sensor equipment before treating a roller as an app-controlled trainer.

Six individually reviewed free-standing roller configurations match the support-style choice; their brake and balance tasks differ. Standard Elite Arion MPN 0100501 lists no selectable resistance; Arion Mag MPN 0100550 has three manual magnetic levels. Quick-Motion MPN 0162001 also has three manual levels, but adds a floating frame and optional telemetry; Nero instead has app-controlled resistance up to a stated 7% grade. Both still leave the bicycle free on the rollers. Tacx Antares T1000 is a basic conical-roller design with a stated 980–1,100 mm wheelbase range; the shared manual's seventh position is written only as below 980 mm without a lower endpoint. Tacx Galaxia adds a swing frame but still does not document an app-controlled brake. Elite states 944–1,144 mm for Quick-Motion and Nero; measure the exact bicycle against each model's range rather than relying on a broad road, gravel, mountain or city label.

For free-standing rollers with a non-smart setup, no cassette or Cog in the box, and earlier generations excluded, five models match: Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Antares and Galaxia. Nero is excluded because its resistance is app-controlled; Saris Aluminum Rollers 9501T is classified as earlier. The Quick-Motion review explains why optional Misuro B+ telemetry does not change its manually selected brake. See the exact rollers + non-smart + no-cassette result with earlier models excluded.

Six individually reviewed free-standing roller configurations match this option; this is the assessed set, not a claim that compatible rollers do not exist elsewhere. The Todson U.S. importer pages bridge Quick-Motion and Nero to named U.S. offers; Garmin's Antares listing and exact package details remain a separate source check.

For the non-smart roller interaction, Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Antares and Galaxia match when earlier models are excluded; earlier=yes adds Saris Aluminum Rollers 9501T. See that exact rollers + non-smart + no-cassette combination · Include earlier roller models without changing the other answers.

Choose app-controlled resistance only when automatic control is essential

Garmin's U.S. FLUX 2 T2980.60 is a direct-drive smart match with no cassette or Cog/Click; its manufacturer-stated 16% grade limit is separate from its Type 1/Type 2 axle-revision fit check.

Garmin's standard NEO 2T T2875.60 and separate Cog-and-Click part 010-04791-60 are distinct current smart direct-drive matches; the standard box has no cassette, while Click's documented virtual shifting is for Zwift.

The Justo 2 Cog/Click package adds another app-controlled direct-drive match. Elite publishes its 24% maximum simulated grade and under-1% OTS accuracy claim; Click virtual shifting is officially supported only with Zwift, and the U.S. marketplace seller’s complete box and warranty are not established by the listing. See the same app-controlled-resistance result.

The Justo 2 Yellow is also app-controlled, but its assessed setup is the global 0211005Y cassette edition. A possible U.S. destination is inferred from the Germany-based seller's worldwide-to-all-countries FAQ; it is not a U.S.-specific checkout, U.S. warehouse or confirmed importer carton. Its published 24% maximum qualifies at 24% and not 25%.

Saris M2 9930T adds one current-reference wheel-on smart configuration; its integrated metrics and electromagnetic app control differ from Fluid² manual progressive-fluid models. Read the M2 assessment for its powered setup and 15% published grade limit; it retains the rear wheel, has a power supply, and requires exact tire/axle and software checks.

Elite Nero is a smart-control exception to the other free-standing roller assessments: its electronically controlled magnetic brake responds to compatible apps, and Elite states a 7% grade ceiling. Its wheels still run on moving drums, so app control does not make Nero a wheel-on rear-axle clamp or a direct-drive unit. Check the Nero assessment for the 944–1,144 mm wheelbase and app/device caveats.

All twenty-three currently returned configurations have a documented arrangement in which compatible software can control resistance automatically; that does not mean every app, workout mode, device or firmware works with every trainer. The separate Justo 2 Yellow is the cassette-included 0211005Y edition, not the Cog/Click package; Elite publishes a 24% maximum for it. The FLUX 2 T2980.60 is a powered direct-drive model with a cassette body but no cassette, unlike the NEO 3M's cassette package. Garmin also lists spin-down calibration and says its FLUX stand-alone mode still requires external power. Garmin's standard NEO 2T T2875.60 is another direct-drive smart match with its Shimano/SRAM body installed but no cassette, while part 010-04791-60 is the distinct Cog-and-Click box. Both Tacx Nēra packages have app-controlled smart operation but different supplied drive parts: MPN 010-02418-60 has a cassette and MPN 010-04825-60 has Cog and Click. Free-standing Elite Nero is the one reviewed roller setup with app-controlled resistance; the rider still balances on moving drums, and Elite states a 7% simulated grade ceiling. The separate NEO 3M 010-02808-60 is also smart and direct-drive, but it is the cassette-included package with built-in motion plates. JetBlack’s VICTORY V2 also has app-controlled resistance, while JetBlack limits its included Cog virtual shifting to Zwift. The earlier Direto XR-T Cog/Click appears only after you also choose to include earlier generations.

Read the exact NEO 2T 010-04791-60 assessment for the direct-drive Cog and Click package, its manufacturer-stated 25% platform limit and the app/device conditions.

The original US Justo is an earlier interactive model with app-controlled resistance, but the dated importer page did not confirm current stock or every bundle detail.

The earlier Saris H3 Plus 9835T is also direct-drive and smart, with a cassette-sold-separately package; it enters the app-control shortlist only when earlier generations are included.

For example, Elite Justo 2 is a cassette-equipped direct-drive choice, the original US Justo is an earlier app-controlled direct-drive model with an unresolved cassette box state, Elite Rivo with Cog and Click is a virtual-shifting package, and Elite Tuo and Wahoo KICKR ROLLR retain the rear wheel. Verify the app's current support, connection method and the exact resistance-control mode. Smart resistance is separate from the trainer's power-reporting method, and a smart label alone does not prove a specific sensor or package is included.

Choose non-smart only if you specifically want manual or basic resistance

The non-smart answer is a different task from simply leaving app control unselected: it asks the finder to exclude smart configurations.

Sixteen current-reference configurations match the explicit non-smart answer, including the non-interactive direct-drive fluid Turno and manual wheel-on magnetic Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ MPN 0121026. Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1 remain manually resisted because their sensors are telemetry, not app-controlled braking. Ten are wheel-on: Elite Novo Force uses handlebar-selected magnetic levels; Qubo Fluid uses progressive fluid resistance; Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ uses eight manual magnetic positions, with unresolved source contradictions about sensor compatibility/equipment and flywheel mass; Saris Mag 1020T and Mag+ 9902T use manual magnetic controls; Tacx Boost base 010-02419-01 and bundle 010-02419-02 remain manually controlled; and Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1 use wheel-speed-driven fluid resistance. The bundle's extra riser, mat and towel distinguish its package; the 9907T sensor and bundle sensor transmit data, not a controlled brake response. Five others are free-standing rollers—Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Antares T1000 and Galaxia—which require balancing on moving drums. Quick-Motion's three magnetic levels are manual; optional Misuro B+ data does not control them. This is the reviewed set, not a full market inventory.

Sixteen currently assessed configurations match this explicit non-smart option. Turno has no app-controlled brake despite sending telemetry; smart Nero is excluded from this answer. The exact finder query preserves all sixteen rather than only the examples linked here.

Check all sixteen currently reviewed non-smart matches

Choose cassette included when you need physical sprockets in the box

Elite's exact Justo 2 Yellow page and technical sheet describe the distinct global MPN 0211005Y cassette edition; the possible U.S.-destination route is inferred from a Germany-based seller's broad worldwide-to-all-countries claim, not an established U.S.-importer package.

This option returns seven reviewed packages with an installed cassette. Standard Elite Justo 2 and the distinct Yellow edition have preinstalled 12-speed road cassettes; the Yellow seller carton and U.S. checkout were not verified. Wahoo KICKR CORE 2, Wahoo KICKR and certified-reconditioned KICKR v6 are assessed with 11-speed cassette packages; Tacx Nēra 010-02418-60 has an 11-speed cassette; and NEO 3M U.S. part 010-02808-60 has a preinstalled Shimano/SRAM 11-speed cassette. The NEO 3M has built-in motion plates and a manufacturer-listed 25% grade limit; the separate Cog/Click option is not the package reviewed here. Garmin lists other cassette/freehub arrangements only under specific compatibility conditions, so check the exact drivetrain rather than inferring fit from speed count. Wahoo specifically warns that its supplied HG cassette is not compatible with Shimano CUES/LinkGlide. The reconditioned v6 listing was observed out of stock on the dated source check, so a feature match is not a stock claim. Confirm the precise cassette, freehub and seller box contents.

Choose Cog and Click included when virtual shifting is the planned routine

Elite’s Justo 2 with Zwift Cog and Click is a separate box from the standard cassette Justo 2. Elite’s exact page says Cog and Click are preinstalled; the U.S.-located eBay offer gives UPC 8020775050224 but no Elite MPN and does not itemize the complete carton, so verify seller contents, warranty and fit. Other reviewed packages are Elite Avanti, Elite Rivo, Wahoo KICKR CORE 2, Wahoo KICKR, Tacx Nēra 010-04825-60 and Tacx NEO 2T 010-04791-60, each in its distinct Cog-and-Click version. JetBlack’s current VICTORY V2, SKU JBT-VIC2-ZC-A adds Cog1.1 and Click V2; the separate JBT-VIC-ZC-A-REF factory-reworked V1 is an earlier package, not a new V2. JetBlack states VICTORY Cog virtual shifting works only with Zwift. The Cog is a single sprocket, not a multi-sprocket cassette. Garmin names Zwift and ROUVY for NEO 2T Cog use, while the release specifically describes Click's virtual shifting and in-game controls in Zwift; check current app/device requirements and subscriptions rather than assuming every feature works in both apps. The Nēra has a separately assessed cassette MPN 010-02418-60, so do not infer Cog/Click contents from a cassette version of a nearby trainer name.

The NEO 2T 010-04791-60 Cog-and-Click package is direct-drive; its published 25% grade figure is a manufacturer platform claim rather than an independent measurement. Its exact-package assessment explains that Click's documented virtual shifting is for Zwift and that the separate motion plates visible in Garmin's press image are not package evidence.

Find every reviewed package with Cog and Click included

Eight reviewed configurations match the Cog-and-Click package choice, including current VICTORY V2; factory-reworked VICTORY V1 is an earlier, distinct version and appears only with earlier=yes.

Choose no cassette or Cog in the box only if you have a separate setup plan

Twenty-four reviewed configurations have neither a cassette nor Cog/Click in the package, including Elite Turno MPN 0172001 and Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ MPN 0121026. Four current Saris packages are M2 9930T, Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and separate bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1. Standard Elite Avanti and standard Elite Rivo are direct-drive and need a compatible cassette chosen separately; the FLUX 2 T2980.60 and standard NEO 2T T2875.60 have cassette bodies but no supplied cassette or Cog/Click. Turno's manufacturer sheet lists a freehub and compatible cassette families, not an included cassette; its cross-border seller route has unresolved carton and U.S. delivery details. Qubo is wheel-on and manual with eight magnetic levels; its sensor claims conflict and must not be treated as a confirmed box item. Wheel-on models keep the bicycle's rear wheel installed. Saris M2 9930T and Fluid² Basic 9904T are separate no-cassette packages; 9907T Smart Equipped adds a sensor and leveling block, while AMZSAR9907TKIT1 is a distinct accessory bundle with a sensor, riser, mat and towel listed. No sensor or accessory bundle contains a trainer cassette or Cog/Click. Saris Mag 1020T and Mag+ 9902T, both Tacx Boost configurations, Elite Tuo/ROLLR/Novo/Qubo, and free-standing Quick-Motion, Nero, Arion, Arion Mag, Antares and Galaxia also leave the bicycle's own drivetrain on the bike. Quick-Motion uses manual resistance, while Nero has app control; both require balancing on moving drums. Check the exact model, package and bicycle rather than treating this answer as a universal installation instruction.

For the free-standing no-cassette alternatives, compare manual Elite Quick-Motion and Arion, magnetic Arion Mag, and app-controlled Nero with Tacx Antares T1000 and Tacx Galaxia. They use moving drums instead of a wheel-on frame or direct-drive cassette interface.

Recommended no-cassette reviews across mounting styles: Avanti, Arion, Arion Mag, Novo Force, Qubo Fluid, Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ 0121026, Rivo, Tuo, Turno 0172001, Saris Mag, Mag+, M2, Fluid² Basic, Fluid² Smart Equipped, Fluid² accessory bundle, Antares, Boost base, Boost sensor bundle, FLUX 2, Galaxia, standard NEO 2T and KICKR ROLLR.

The original US Justo does not appear in this confirmed no-cassette set: its importer listing says which road cassettes are compatible but does not establish whether one is supplied. That unknown package state is not silently treated as either “bare trainer” or “cassette included.”

The earlier H3 Plus 9835T has a confirmed cassette-free package, but its earlier-generation status keeps it out of this default result until you choose earlier=yes.

Find all twenty-four currently reviewed packages with neither cassette nor Cog included

Keep earlier generations out when you want the current-reference shortlist

Garmin's U.S. FLUX 2 T2980.60 remains one of the current-reference matches; the exact unit may use Type 1 or Type 2 axle hardware.

Garmin NEO 3M part 010-02808-60 is a current-reference cassette-included trainer and stays in the no-earlier result; it is not the NEO 2T Cog/Click package.

The Justo 2 Cog/Click offer is also current-reference and stays in this answer, but the U.S.-located seller listing does not establish an Elite importer MPN or a complete carton; do not merge it with the cassette-equipped 0211005EXUE listing. See the same current-reference-only result.

Thirty-nine current-reference configurations match earlier=no, including JetBlack VICTORY V2, Turno MPN 0172001 and Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ MPN 0121026. JetBlack V2 is the Cog1.1/Click V2 package with a maker-listed 16% limit and Zwift-only virtual shifting; the distinct reworked V1 SKU JBT-VIC-ZC-A-REF appears only with earlier=yes. Turno is direct-drive and non-interactive; the cross-border listing displays a U.S. shipping table but no U.S. checkout or complete carton was confirmed. Qubo is a manual wheel-on trainer; the live manufacturer page and sheet conflict on its Misuro B+ status and flywheel mass. The distinct Justo 2 Yellow cassette edition also remains current-reference. Its global MPN is 0211005Y; a possible U.S.-destination route is inferred from the seller's worldwide-to-all-countries claim, not confirmed by a U.S.-specific checkout or importer offer. Four current Saris entries also remain: M2 9930T, Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1; none is classified as earlier. Saris M2 9930T is the current wheel-on smart option; Fluid² Basic, Smart Equipped 9907T and bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1 use progressive fluid resistance and differ in supplied sensor/accessory items. Current-reference free-standing Quick-Motion is manually resisted; Nero has app-controlled resistance up to its stated 7% grade. The twelve separately assessed earlier offers stay excluded unless you opt in: original CORE, original Justo, the two XR-T packages, H3 Plus 9835T, Aluminum Rollers 9501T, NEO 2 T2850.60, Blue Matic T2650, Blue Twist T2675, Satori Smart T2400, FLUX S T2900S.60 and factory-reworked VICTORY Cog/Click V1. A current-reference classification does not guarantee present stock.

This filter follows the saved lifecycle classification, not the year in a model name or the word “reconditioned” by itself. The separate KICKR v6 reconditioned configuration stays in the current-reference results, although its US seller page showed it out of stock at the dated check. Neither answer guarantees present stock or that an older trainer fits a specific bike.

Current-reference reviews named in this choice include standard Elite Justo 2, the cassette-equipped Justo 2 Yellow (a separately documented cross-border route), KICKR CORE 2 with cassette, Galaxia, Tuo, Novo Force, Qubo Fluid, Nēra cassette, Nēra Cog/Click, NEO 2T Cog/Click, NEO 3M, standard NEO 2T, FLUX 2, Boost base 010-02419-01, Boost bundle 010-02419-02 and Antares T1000.

For a current cassette-included comparison, read the Elite Justo 2 and KICKR CORE 2 cassette assessments; Elite Tuo is a current-reference wheel-on alternative.

Find all thirty-nine current-reference configurations with earlier-generation entries excluded

Earlier=no excludes the seventeen separately assessed earlier configurations, not only the twelve older trainer offers listed above. The four Tacx wheel-on models Bushido T2780, Flow T2240.60, Genius T2080 and Vortex T2180, along with the historic U.S.-directed VOLT V2 cassette configuration, are present only when earlier=yes is selected. The VOLT generation identification is inferred from matching 2022 launch copy; the old page shows neither an MPN nor current availability. Keep the same current-reference-only finder answer.

Include earlier generations only if a separately assessed older offer is useful

Earlier=yes returns fifty-six reviewed configurations: thirty-nine current-reference entries plus seventeen separately assessed earlier offers, including the current-reference VICTORY V2 and factory-reworked VICTORY V1 as distinct packages, as well as four additional Tacx wheel-on trainers: Bushido T2780, Flow T2240.60, Genius T2080 and Vortex T2180. The current-reference VICTORY V2 and earlier factory-reworked VICTORY Cog/Click V1 remain distinct packages. The V1 seller describes returns/demo units and a 12-month, non-transferable, country-of-purchase-limited rework warranty; verify the individual unit, return exclusion, delivery charge and destination checkout. Also included are the current-reference Turno MPN 0172001 and manual wheel-on Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ MPN 0121026, as well as the distinct Garmin/Tacx Satori Smart T2400 wheel-on/manual trainer and FLUX S T2900S.60 direct-drive/app-controlled trainer among the earlier offers. The four additional Tacx models all keep the bicycle's rear wheel installed and are separate smart motor-brake designs: Bushido Smart T2780 is self-powered and lists 15% at a 75 kg total-weight condition; powered Flow T2240.60 lists 6% and Garmin warns of thermal protection during prolonged hard ERG or steep climbs; powered Genius T2080 lists 20% with virtual-flywheel/downhill behavior but conflicting calibration guidance; powered Vortex T2180 lists 7% and Garmin warns full-power protection may trigger after 15–20 minutes. Those historical grade values are manufacturer limits, not individualized climb promises; check actual power leads, axle/tire fit, seller box and software support. The Flow and Vortex grade values use Tacx's 75 kg total-weight footnote. T2180 flywheel figures differ across brochure editions, and no value is selected. The U.S. listings for all four showed sold out or unavailable at dated checks; this does not predict present stock or prove contents of another seller's unit. Turno's U.S.-destination seller table is cross-border and does not verify checkout, delivered carton or domestic warranty; Qubo's sensor and flywheel claims remain conflicted. Current-reference Justo 2 Yellow is among the cassette-equipped choices; a possible U.S. destination is inferred from a Germany-based seller's broad worldwide-shipping claim, not established by a U.S.-specific checkout. This does not establish a domestic U.S. offer, seller carton or completed checkout. The current-reference Saris group includes M2 9930T, Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and the distinct AMZSAR9907TKIT1 bundle. Current-reference rollers Quick-Motion (manual) and Nero (app-controlled, up to 7% stated grade) stay in both lifecycle results. The earlier 9501T Aluminum Rollers is a free-standing three-drum roller with a stated 37.5–44.5 inch wheelbase range; Saris displayed No Longer Available / Sold Out on 2026-10-31, a dated manufacturer-page observation rather than an all-seller stock conclusion. It does not appear when earlier=no. The NEO 2 T2850.60 is an earlier direct-drive smart trainer with a Shimano/SRAM cassette body but no cassette or Cog/Click; Garmin documents Type 1 and Type 2 axle revisions, so inspect the exact unit and box. U.S. retailer pages observed during this research showed it unavailable new or sold out on 2026-11-01; that is a dated observation, not a present-stock guarantee. Standard NEO 2T T2875.60 remains distinct from Cog/Click NEO 2T part 010-04791-60, and including earlier equipment does not imply it is currently available.

Earlier=yes now returns fifty-six reviewed configurations: thirty-nine current-reference entries and seventeen separately assessed earlier configurations. JetBlack's historically U.S.-directed VOLT V2 is one of the added earlier entries: the reproduced page and the maker's 2022 VOLT V2 video describe a direct-drive smart trainer supplied with an 11-speed cassette, while support lists a 16% grade maximum. This generation link is an evidence-based inference from the distinctive launch wording, not an MPN bridge; the captured page showed Coming Soon and a wait-list action, so current supply and a completed sale are not established. Read the VOLT V2 assessment and use the same earlier-inclusive finder condition.

Current-reference free-standing Tacx Galaxia is another non-smart roller; its swing frame does not make the rollers app-controlled. Other Garmin choices include direct-drive FLUX 2 T2980.60 and wheel-on Boost base part 010-02419-01 and speed-sensor bundle part 010-02419-02. Neither Boost model is converted to a smart trainer by adding telemetry.

Current-reference Tacx Antares T1000 also stays in the earlier-inclusive result; Saris Aluminum Rollers 9501T is the separate roller classified as earlier.

Twelve separately assessed earlier trainer offers are added to the thirty-nine current-reference configurations: the certified-reconditioned original Wahoo KICKR CORE (2018), original US Elite Justo (MPN 0211001EXUE), Direto XR-T no-cassette (MPN 0171013EXUE), separate Direto XR-T Cog/Click (MPN 0171015EXUE), Saris H3 Plus 9835T, Aluminum Rollers 9501T, Garmin/Tacx NEO 2 T2850.60, Blue Matic T2650, Blue Twist T2675, Satori Smart T2400, FLUX S T2900S.60 and JetBlack factory-reworked VICTORY Cog/Click V1 SKU JBT-VIC-ZC-A-REF. The VICTORY V1 is a returned/demo rework offer, not evidence that an individual unit has a known condition. The two Blue models and Satori are distinct manual magnetic wheel-on trainers: T2650 uses a ten-position handlebar lever, T2675 a seven-position brake-unit switch, and T2400 a ten-position handlebar lever plus wireless training data but no app-controlled brake. T2400's 10% maker-listed grade is conditional on 75 kg total mass. FLUX S T2900S.60 is instead a direct-drive smart trainer; its cassette is separate, external power is required, and its manufacturer-listed grade limit is 10%. Neither basic wheel-on nor direct-drive setup includes a cassette or Cog/Click in these reviewed configurations. Check wheel diameter, axle/end-cap fit, seller contents, power and condition before relying on an old or used offer. Performance Bicycle marked Blue Twist discontinued online and Best Buy showed Blue Matic unavailable new at their dated checks, neither of which predicts future or all-retailer stock. Saris displayed No Longer Available / Sold Out for both earlier Saris entries at dated source checks; neither status predicts future or all-retailer stock. Garmin's older NEO 2 standard package supplies a Shimano/SRAM cassette body but not a cassette or Cog/Click, and two axle revisions make exact-unit fit checks important. The H3 Plus has a freehub and power supply but no cassette or Cog/Click, while 9501T is a free-standing roller set with no documented app-controlled resistance or grade figure.

Garmin NEO 2T Cog/Click part 010-04791-60 is current-reference, so it remains in the earlier=yes set alongside—rather than because of—the nine earlier offers. The current-reference NEO 3M 010-02808-60 is a separate cassette-included package with integrated motion plates, not the NEO 2T Cog/Click box. The two Nēra package IDs remain distinct current-reference configurations: 010-02418-60 includes the 11-speed cassette, while 010-04825-60 includes Cog and Click. The Saris Mag and Mag+ are manual wheel-on entries, not earlier smart trainers; Mag+ has a bar shifter while base Mag does not. The two XR-T listings also have distinct supplied setups and reviews. The original CORE and MPN 0171013EXUE document cassette-free packages; the original Justo importer listing leaves cassette contents unresolved, so it is not silently treated as either cassette-included or bare-trainer. Read the separate H3 Plus 9835T review before treating its freehub as a cassette.

The earlier yes result includes Elite Justo under MPN 0211001EXUE as a separate original-generation trainer, not the Justo 2. It also contains two distinct manual wheel-on models, Blue Matic T2650 and Blue Twist T2675; their control switch locations and number of manual positions differ, while neither has an evidenced app-controlled brake or numeric simulated-grade figure.

Read the separate Satori Smart T2400 assessment for its manual wheel-on brake and conditional 10% grade, and the FLUX S T2900S.60 assessment for its powered direct-drive, app-controlled, no-cassette setup. The exact U.S. edition, seller package, condition and fit still need checking.

The current-reference Justo 2 Cog/Click offer remains in this inclusive answer; it is distinct from the cassette-equipped standard Justo 2. The reviewed current-reference Turno and Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ remain in the same lifecycle set; neither is classified as an earlier-generation trainer. See the same earlier-inclusive result.

Earlier=yes does not remove current-reference matches: Qubo Fluid MPN 0121006 remains a current-catalogue wheel-on fluid option; free-standing Arion MPN 0100501 and Arion Mag MPN 0100550 are separate reviewed rollers, respectively listed with no selectable resistance and with three manual magnetic levels. Neither model has a published grade percentage or app-controlled brake in the evidence checked.

Read the original CORE reconditioned assessment before considering an offer. The listing's seller status, condition and warranty can change; including it in a results set is not a statement that it is available now.

The original Elite Justo assessment is another earlier direct-drive smart-trainer result, separate from Justo 2; its US importer listing was unavailable for purchase at the dated October 29, 2026 check and does not confirm cassette contents.

The US Direto XR-T MPN 0171013EXUE assessment is the third earlier model in this library. The importer explicitly lists it without a cassette; Elite's published grade limit is 24%, and any virtual-shifting Cog/Click kit is a separate, firmware-dependent upgrade. Confirm the exact bike adapters and drivetrain before considering the offer.

The separate US Direto XR-T MPN 0171015EXUE assessment covers the Cog-and-Click package. The importer names it XR-T while Elite's Cog-package sheet uses Direto XR; this review keeps the importer MPN visible. Its Cog/Click virtual gears are for Zwift, and a cassette is needed for other supported apps.

For a cassette-equipped comparison, read the CORE 2 cassette package assessment; the original CORE review is a separate bare-trainer configuration. Standard Rivo is another current-reference direct-drive model.

For a current-reference wheel-on comparison with manually selected resistance, read the Elite Novo Force assessment; it is distinct from the earlier direct-drive CORE offer and is not an app-controlled trainer.

For the combination of wheel-on support, no app-controlled resistance, neither cassette nor Cog/Click in the package, and willingness to consider earlier trainers, the reviewed set has thirteen configurations, including current-reference manual Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ MPN 0121026 and the distinct Blue Matic T2650, Blue Twist T2675 and Satori Smart T2400. Qubo adds eight manually selected magnetic levels but has conflicting manufacturer statements about Misuro B+ status and a 2-versus-2.3 kg flywheel discrepancy; a reader extract shows a U.S.-destination shipping charge, not checked-out delivery or a verified carton. Both Blue models use a magnetic brake against the rear tire, but T2650 selects ten positions from a handlebar lever while T2675 selects seven at the brake unit. T2400 also has a ten-position manual lever; Bluetooth/ANT+ data and app-accessible calibration do not make its brake app-controlled. Tacx's 10% simulated-grade figure for T2400 is conditional on 75 kg total mass, unlike the Blue models and Qubo, whose checked sources provide no numeric grade. Confirm the installed wheel diameter and exact axle hardware, then check the seller's actual box, condition and return terms; these image/review records are not complete used-unit inventories. Read the separate Blue Matic T2650, Blue Twist T2675 and Satori T2400 assessments before treating these wheel-on packages as interchangeable. Use a simulated-grade minimum as a published specification cutoff

Four distinct earlier Tacx wheel-on trainers add maker-listed grade boundaries at 6% (Flow), 7% (Vortex), 15% (Bushido) and 20% (Genius); each qualifies at its stated ceiling, not at the next percentage point. Compare Flow T2240.60, Vortex T2180, Bushido T2780 and Genius T2080; their caps are maker specifications footnoted at 75 kg total weight, not promises about your rider/bike combination.

JetBlack's earlier VOLT V2 reaches its maker-listed 16% maximum, so it matches a 16% minimum but not 17%; keep earlier=yes, direct drive, smart control and cassette-included requirements fixed for this comparison. The 16% figure is not an independent test or route guarantee, and the maker warns heat from heavy use may compromise it. See the VOLT V2 review, the exact 16% smart direct-drive cassette result with earlier=yes, and the same 17% condition.

At a 6% floor with earlier=yes, Flow Smart T2240.60 meets its 6% maker limit; Vortex T2180, Bushido T2780 and Genius T2080 also remain above their respective limits. See the grade-only 6% result · Flow · Vortex · Bushido · Genius.

At 7%, the earlier-inclusive grade-only result still includes Vortex Smart T2180 at its limit, but Flow T2240.60 has dropped below the requested floor. See the grade-only 7% result · Raise it to 8% · Vortex · Flow.

At 15%, Bushido Smart T2780 reaches its Tacx-listed limit and Genius T2080 remains above it; Flow and Vortex are below this grade floor. See the grade-only 15% result · Raise it to 16% · Bushido · Genius.

At 16%, Genius Smart T2080 is the only one of these four earlier Tacx wheel-on models that still meets its maker-listed grade maximum. See the grade-only 16% result · Review Genius T2080.

At 20%, Genius Smart T2080 reaches its Tacx-listed maximum; the three other newly reviewed Tacx models are below this floor. See the grade-only 20% result · Raise the same query to 21% · Review Genius T2080.

At 21%, Genius T2080 is excluded because Tacx lists a 20% maximum; Bushido, Flow and Vortex are also below the threshold. See the grade-only 21% result · Direto XR-T no-cassette.

JetBlack’s VICTORY support page lists a 16% maximum for both the current Cog1.1/Click V2 offer and the separate factory-reworked Cog/Click V1: each qualifies at a 16% minimum and fails at 17%. This is a shared manufacturer specification, not a test of a reworked unit or a promise about route feel. Read the V2 assessment and V1 rework assessment; compare the same numeric-only conditions at 16% with earlier models included and 17%.

Saris M2 9930T is a current wheel-on smart configuration with a published 15% simulated-grade maximum: it meets a 15% minimum and leaves at 16%; FLUX 2 remains the separate direct-drive 16/17% boundary. The M2 assessment attributes the 15% specification to Saris and does not treat it as independent testing or a route guarantee.

At 10%, the earlier-inclusive grade-only result contains both Satori Smart T2400 and FLUX S T2900S.60 at their maker-listed 10% limits. At 11%, both drop out; T2400's figure is conditioned on 75 kg total mass. These are maker specifications rather than independent measurements or personal climbing guarantees. Compare the T2400 wheel-on manual trainer with the T2900S.60 direct-drive smart trainer; their same-condition boundaries are in the 10% earlier-inclusive finder and 11% version.

Garmin's U.S. FLUX 2 T2980.60 meets a 16% minimum at its published 16% maximum, but it drops out at 17%; its Type 1/Type 2 axle revision remains a separate fit check.

At 25%, the earlier NEO 2 T2850.60, both reviewed NEO 2T packages and the NEO 3M reach their separate manufacturer-listed platform maximums; at 26%, none of those NEO configurations reaches the minimum. The older T2850.60 also has a cassette-body/no-cassette package and revision-specific axle adapters, unlike an inference from model family alone.

Justo 2 Yellow (global MPN 0211005Y) has a separate Elite-published 24% simulated-grade maximum and a preinstalled 12-speed cassette. Under direct-drive + smart + cassette-included + earlier=no, the exact set includes standard Justo 2, Yellow and NEO 3M at 24%; at 25%, Yellow and standard Justo 2 fall out while NEO 3M remains. The new Yellow edition's observed route is a Germany-based seller's worldwide-shipping statement, not a U.S.-domestic offer or tested checkout. Read the Yellow assessment.

A higher percentage only filters against the maker-published maximum; it is not an independent measurement or a promise about how a route feels.

The fact records span published thresholds of 7% on free-standing Elite Nero, 10% on Elite Tuo and Wahoo ROLLR, 15% on Saris M2 9930T, 16% on Wahoo CORE 2/original CORE and Garmin FLUX 2, 18% on Elite Avanti/Rivo versions, 20% on Wahoo KICKR v6, both Tacx Nēra packages and earlier H3 Plus, 24% on Elite Justo/Direto versions, and 25% on earlier Garmin NEO 2 T2850.60, NEO 2T and NEO 3M platforms. Elite Nero's stated 7% maximum passes a 7% minimum but not 8%; see the Nero assessment and the exact 7% and 8% roller/package queries. The M2 passes through 15%; Tuo/ROLLR at 10% leave above that lower tier, while the M2 leaves at 16%. Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T, bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1, Mag 1020T, Mag+ 9902T and earlier Aluminum Rollers 9501T have no documented numeric grade, so none passes even a 0% minimum. Their telemetry, manual resistance or roller geometry is not a published simulated-grade value. Standard Arion, Arion Mag, Antares, Galaxia, Novo Force and Qubo Fluid also lack documented numeric grade. Garmin says the 25% NEO incline calculation assumes a 65 kg rider at 10 km/h and that rider/bicycle mass can affect that modeled maximum. The earlier NEO 2 T2850.60 meets a numeric 25% minimum but not 26%; see its separate earlier-model assessment. A zero minimum still asks for a published numeric capability; compare 0% with the lifecycle filter explicit. These are trainer simulation claims, not independent measurements or route promises.

At a 0% grade floor, the exact wheel-on + non-smart + no-cassette/no-Cog + earlier=yes combination returns Satori Smart T2400 alone: Tacx's 10% simulated-grade maximum is conditional on 75 kg total mass. Read the exact T2400 assessment. The Blue Matic T2650 and Blue Twist T2675 have no documented numeric grade value in their own checked sources, so unknown does not pass even a zero floor. Among the 13 reviewed wheel-on, non-smart, no-cassette configurations allowed by these choices, only T2400 has a documented numeric grade; that filtered result does not prove that no other trainer exists. See the same wheel-on, non-smart, no-cassette and earlier-inclusive setup with a 0% grade floor. At 10%, the exact wheel-on + non-smart + no-cassette/no-Cog + earlier=yes set returns Satori T2400 alone at its published 10% maximum. At 11%, that exact wheel-on combination has no reviewed match: Satori T2400's documented 10% limit is below the floor and the other models' grade is unknown. The published maximum is not an independent ride test or individual climbing guarantee. Check the exact manual wheel-on setup at 10% · Raise the same setup to 11%.

At a zero-percent grade floor, Elite Nero still qualifies because the maker has published a numeric 7% ceiling; Quick-Motion and other rollers with no numeric grade remain unknown and do not pass. Nero is included at a 7% minimum and drops out at 8%. See the numeric-only 0% result · Set a numeric-only 7% minimum · Raise that same numeric-only cutoff to 8%.

With earlier=yes held constant for the numeric comparison, Nero remains in the reviewed set through 7% and leaves at 8%; the surrounding direct-drive and wheel-on matches continue only when their own documented limits meet the floor. See the earlier-inclusive 7% query · Raise the same earlier-inclusive numeric query to 8%.

The 20% tier also includes the earlier H3 Plus 9835T: Saris publishes a 20% simulated-grade limit for it, so it matches through 20% and leaves the grade-only set at 21% when earlier models are included. This earlier direct-drive smart box has a separate cassette plan; the grade match does not change its package.

At 10%, compare the Tuo and KICKR ROLLR wheel-on assessments. At 16%, the CORE 2 cassette package and FLUX 2 T2980.60 still meet the cutoff; both are excluded by the 17% minimum. At 18%, Avanti and Rivo still meet it, but not 19%. Both Nēra packages and the KICKR v6 cassette and Cog/Click variants have a published 20% maximum: they pass at 20% and leave the numeric set at 21%. At 20%, the Nēra maximum is a package-aware boundary: both 010-02418-60 (cassette) and 010-04825-60 (Cog and Click) pass, then both fail a 21% minimum. The Nēra's exact package still matters—010-02418-60 is cassette-equipped and 010-04825-60 is Cog-and-Click. At 21% and 24%, NEO 2T Cog/Click part 010-04791-60 remains alongside Justo 2, the earlier original Justo, Direto XR-T no-cassette MPN 0171013EXUE and Direto XR-T Cog/Click MPN 0171015EXUE; NEO is the only one of these configurations with a 25% published platform limit, while the other four have 24% limits. Their package facts differ, so the numeric match does not imply the same cassette contents.

For the H3 Plus, compare the exact 9835T review and its maker-listed 20% cap: an earlier, direct-drive, smart, no-cassette result contains H3 Plus at 20%, but not at 21%.

At 25%, both NEO 2T Cog-and-Click part 010-04791-60 and NEO 3M cassette part 010-02808-60 reach their manufacturer-listed platform maximum. They are not the same package: one includes Cog and Click; the other has a preinstalled 11-speed cassette and built-in motion plates. At 26%, neither reviewed configuration reaches the selected minimum. See the exact smart direct-drive cassette result at 25% · Raise the same requirements to 26%.

Standard NEO 2T T2875.60 is a different direct-drive smart package: no cassette or Cog/Click is included. At the earlier=yes, direct-drive + smart + no-cassette interaction, 24% returns the 24%-rated Direto XR-T MPN 0171013EXUE and standard NEO 2T; at 25% only T2875.60 remains, and 26% excludes both. Garmin's 25% maker limit is modeled using a 65 kg rider at 10 km/h, with rider/bicycle mass affecting the maximum; it is not a rider-specific guarantee. Read the exact standard-package assessment.

At 25%, the earlier-inclusive result also contains the distinct NEO 2 T2850.60: Garmin lists its simulated-grade ceiling at 25%, so it remains at that minimum and drops at 26%. Standard NEO 2T T2875.60, NEO 2T Cog-and-Click part 010-04791-60 and NEO 3M cassette part 010-02808-60 meet their own manufacturer-listed 25% platform maximums; generations and supplied packages remain separate. Garmin models the NEO 2 grade figure at a 65 kg rider and 10 km/h, with bicycle and rider mass affecting the result. Read the earlier NEO 2 T2850.60 assessment and see all matches at the exact 25% earlier-inclusive boundary; raise the same numeric-only condition to 26%.

With wheel-on and no cassette held fixed, Tuo and ROLLR publish 10% limits while Saris M2 9930T publishes a 15% limit; all three meet a 10% floor. At 11–15%, M2 is the sole currently reviewed wheel-on/no-cassette match; at 16% it leaves. Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T, the AMZSAR9907TKIT1 bundle, Mag 1020T and Mag+ 9902T have no published numeric grade and fail numeric filters even at zero. This is limited to reviewed configurations, not all products on the market.

No currently reviewed configuration has a documented maximum simulated grade of at least 26%; standard and Cog/Click NEO 2T packages and NEO 3M have manufacturer-listed 25% maxima. Earlier NEO 2 T2850.60 drops out at 26%. Unknown grade fields do not pass a numeric rule, and this reviewed-library result does not prove market-wide absence. Antares T1000 and Galaxia, like standard Arion and Arion Mag, have no published simulated-grade value in the checked sources and therefore do not pass even a zero minimum.

See all reviewed configurations at a 25% minimum · Raise the same minimum to 26%

Elite’s separate Justo 2 Cog-and-Click package has a published 24% maximum: it meets 24% and fails 25%, unlike the standard cassette package only in box contents, not in the published grade cutoff. Read the exact Cog/Click review.

At 25%, the earlier-inclusive grade-only set excludes Justo 2 Cog/Click at its 24% maximum while NEO 2T remains at its published 25% ceiling.

At 26%, neither Justo 2 Cog/Click at 24% nor the NEO 2T at 25% meets the published-grade minimum.

Combine mounting style, resistance control and the exact package

With direct drive, smart resistance, Cog and Click, and earlier generations included, ten separately reviewed configurations match, including current VICTORY V2 and factory-reworked VICTORY V1 as different packages. Review VICTORY V2 and the V1 factory-rework offer, then see the same direct-drive, smart, Cog/Click and earlier=yes condition.

With direct drive, smart control, cassette included and earlier=yes, the VOLT V2 is an additional match in the assessed set. Its generation is inferred from JetBlack's dated V2 video and matching launch copy; the historic U.S.-directed page shows no MPN or current offer. Read the VOLT V2 assessment and see the same direct-drive, smart, cassette and earlier=yes finder conditions.

With earlier=yes and a direct-drive, smart, cassette-included setup, the VOLT V2 meets its maker-listed 16% grade limit. Raising only that same earlier direct-drive, smart, cassette-included cutoff to 17% removes the VOLT V2 because its published maximum is 16%. The grade figure is manufacturer-stated and heat-sensitive, not a riding test or route promise. Read the VOLT V2 review and compare the exact five-answer result at 16% with the same five answers at 17%.

For the exact current cassette package, read the NEO 3M 010-02808-60 assessment; it is not interchangeable with the Cog/Click setup.

These requirements act on different facts: mounting style describes how the bike is supported; smart control describes whether compatible software changes resistance; package choice identifies what is in the box. Start with the bicycle arrangement, then check the exact cassette or Cog version. The cassette Nēra (010-02418-60) and Cog/Click Nēra (010-04825-60) each combine direct drive and smart control, but they satisfy different box-content answers. The NEO 2T Cog-and-Click MPN 010-04791-60 is a current-reference direct-drive smart package with virtual shifting; the NEO 3M MPN 010-02808-60 is a separate current-reference direct-drive smart package with an 11-speed cassette and integrated motion plates. The earlier NEO 2 T2850.60 is a third distinct direct-drive smart no-cassette configuration: Garmin's box list gives it a cassette body but not a cassette, and its Type 1/Type 2 axle revision must be checked on the actual unit. With direct drive, app control and a no-cassette requirement, NEO 3M is excluded because its reviewed U.S. box includes a cassette; selecting earlier models adds the original KICKR CORE, the exact no-cassette Direto XR-T package and NEO 2 T2850.60 as candidates. The XR-T Cog/Click MPN 0171015EXUE is a separate earlier direct-drive smart package, but it does not match a bare-trainer requirement. The earlier Justo also has app control, but its importer listing leaves cassette contents unknown, so it cannot satisfy either a cassette-included or confirmed no-cassette requirement.

For direct-drive support, an explicit non-smart requirement and a no-cassette/Cog package with earlier models excluded, the exact reviewed result contains one model: Elite Turno MPN 0172001. Its fluid brake rises with bicycle speed and integrated Misuro B+ sends data one way; an app does not control its resistance. The manufacturer lists a freehub but not a cassette. Starbike shows a U.S.A. shipping table, but no checkout, seller carton, domestic warranty or delivery was verified, and its power-plug line conflicts with Elite's no-power-supply sheet. See that exact direct-drive + non-smart + no-cassette + earlier=no result.

Wheel-on, automatic app control and no cassette/Cog match the smart Elite Tuo, Saris M2 9930T and Wahoo ROLLR; M2 uses powered electromagnetic rather than fluid resistance. The M2 assessment documents its integrated ride metrics and maker-stated 15% grade limit; the exact wheel-on + smart + no-cassette + earlier=no result preserves the matching conditions.

For wheel-on, non-smart resistance and no cassette/Cog, manual matches include Mag/Mag+, Fluid² 9904T, 9907T and AMZSAR9907TKIT1, Novo Force, Qubo Fluid and two Boost packages. M2 is excluded because its resistance is app-controlled. The 9904T Basic, 9907T Smart Equipped and separate AMZSAR9907TKIT1 bundle all use progressive fluid resistance. Smart Equipped telemetry does not add automatic braking; the bundle has additional listed accessories. See the exact wheel-on + non-smart + no-cassette + earlier=no result.

Ten current-reference matches satisfy this wheel-on, non-smart, no-cassette query. The manual magnetic Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ 0121026 adds an eight-position resistance control, but its sensor compatibility/inclusion and 2-versus-2.3 kg flywheel claims conflict across Elite's current page and sheet. The cross-border listing reader showed a U.S. shipping charge; no checkout or delivered seller carton was verified. Use these exact wheel-on, non-smart, no-cassette and earlier=no conditions to see all ten matches.

When earlier=yes is added to the non-smart no-cassette roller task, Saris Aluminum Rollers 9501T joins five current-reference models: Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Antares and Galaxia. Review the exact 9501T for its three-drum mechanics, wheelbase range and dated manufacturer availability note. Keep those exact roller, non-smart, no-cassette and earlier=yes answers in the finder.

  • For a direct-drive, smart, cassette-included setup, compare standard Justo 2 with the distinct Justo 2 Yellow 0211005Y, plus Wahoo KICKR with cassette. The Yellow edition has a preinstalled 12-speed road cassette and a published 24% limit, but a possible U.S. destination is inferred from a Germany-based seller's broad worldwide-shipping claim rather than a verified U.S. checkout. The full matching set also includes the CORE 2 cassette, reconditioned KICKR v6 and NEO 3M 010-02808-60.
  • For a direct-drive, smart Cog-and-Click setup, compare Avanti Cog/Click and CORE 2 Cog/Click; the full match also includes Rivo Cog/Click and KICKR Cog/Click.
  • Tacx Nēra 010-02418-60 and 010-04825-60 with Cog and Click both combine direct drive and app-controlled resistance, but only the latter package supplies virtual-shifting controls. The separate NEO 2T Cog/Click 010-04791-60 also supplies Cog and Click; its published smart-shifting description names Zwift.
  • When earlier-generation equipment is acceptable, the Direto XR-T MPN 0171015EXUE is another direct-drive Cog/Click package. Its virtual shifting is documented for Zwift; a cassette must be supplied for other supported apps.
  • For a current bare direct-drive setup that needs a cassette selected separately, compare standard Avanti and standard Rivo.
  • For wheel-on, smart resistance and no cassette/Cog, three reviewed matches are Elite Tuo, KICKR ROLLR and Saris M2 9930T.
  • For wheel-on, explicitly non-smart resistance and no cassette/Cog with earlier=no, ten models match: Saris Mag 1020T, Mag+ 9902T, Elite Novo Force, Qubo Fluid, the distinct Qubo Power Mag Smart B+ 0121026, Tacx Boost base 010-02419-01, speed-sensor bundle 010-02419-02, Fluid² Basic 9904T, Smart Equipped 9907T and accessory bundle AMZSAR9907TKIT1. Qubo has eight manual magnetic levels, but Elite's current page and sheet conflict on Misuro B+ compatibility/equipment and flywheel mass, so verify exact sensor and seller box. Fluid² resistance remains wheel-speed-driven; the sensor in 9907T and bundle supplies data rather than a controlled brake. Both Boost choices are manual too.
  • For free-standing rollers, non-smart control and no cassette/Cog, five current-reference models match: Elite Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Tacx Antares T1000 and Tacx Galaxia. Arion's current page lists no resistance levels; Arion Mag and Quick-Motion have manual magnetic levels, although Quick-Motion adds a floating frame. Antares is the basic conical-drum model; Galaxia documents a swing frame but no app-controlled brake. All five require balancing on drums rather than fixing the rear axle in a wheel-on frame.

For direct-drive smart setups with Cog and Click, the exact NEO 2T 010-04791-60 is a current-reference match; its Click virtual shifting is documented for Zwift, and it is distinct from the Nēra Cog/Click package. Read the exact NEO 2T Cog-and-Click assessment.

For free-standing rollers with an explicitly non-smart setup, no cassette or Cog in the box and earlier generations excluded, standard Elite Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Antares T1000 and Tacx Galaxia all match. Arion's current product page lists no resistance levels; Arion Mag and Quick-Motion have three manually selected magnetic levels, with Quick-Motion adding a floating frame; Antares is a basic conical-drum design, and Galaxia's manufacturer describes a swing frame but not app-controlled braking. These five designs all require the rider to balance; none has a rear-axle clamp. See the exact rollers + non-smart + no-cassette result with earlier generations excluded.

For wheel-on, non-smart resistance and no cassette/Cog, Saris Mag, Mag+, Elite Novo Force, Qubo Fluid, Tacx Boost base part 010-02419-01 and Boost speed-sensor bundle part 010-02419-02 all match. The two Boost packages remain manually controlled; the bundle's speed sensor supports data and estimated virtual power, not automatic resistance. Read the base review and bundle review separately, and keep these exact wheel-on, non-smart, no-cassette, earlier=no answers in the finder.

When earlier=yes is added to the non-smart no-cassette roller task, Saris Aluminum Rollers 9501T joins five current-reference models: Arion, Arion Mag, Quick-Motion, Antares and Galaxia. The 9501T assessment describes a free-standing three-drum set with a documented 37.5–44.5 inch wheelbase interval, no published grade and a dated No Longer Available / Sold Out state. See those same roller, non-smart and no-cassette choices with earlier generations included.

For the full cassette comparison, read KICKR CORE 2 with cassette and the reconditioned KICKR v6 with cassette assessments too.

The earlier bare-trainer comparison is the original KICKR CORE reconditioned model; its age filter matters only when the selected mount, control and package requirements also fit.

The earlier Direto XR-T no-cassette assessment is the compatible earlier addition when the package requirement is explicit. If you want direct-drive app control but leave the box-content question open, the original Elite Justo and the reconditioned CORE are other earlier candidates; the source records differ on what they establish about cassette inclusion. Choosing earlier=yes adds the original KICKR CORE, exact no-cassette Direto XR-T, H3 Plus 9835T and NEO 2 T2850.60 to a compatible direct-drive smart no-cassette result; the original Justo remains unresolved for cassette contents. With earlier generations excluded, standard NEO 2T T2875.60 joins Elite Avanti and Rivo in the direct-drive smart no-cassette result; its cassette body is not a cassette. Review the standard NEO 2T package. With earlier generations included, the existing Avanti/Rivo/T2875.60 current no-cassette matches remain and the original CORE, Direto XR-T and H3 Plus add separately; standard NEO 2T is not an earlier-generation offer. Review the earlier Direto XR-T no-cassette package.

With earlier generations included, direct drive, smart control, no cassette and a 20% grade floor return H3 Plus 9835T, Direto XR-T no-cassette MPN 0171013EXUE, earlier NEO 2 T2850.60 and current standard NEO 2T T2875.60; H3 Plus is at its 20% boundary. Both NEO generations publish 25% ceilings, but only the T2850.60 is lifecycle-classified as earlier.

For a current-reference direct-drive, smart, no-cassette setup with earlier generations excluded, a 16% minimum returns Avanti, Rivo, FLUX 2 T2980.60 and standard NEO 2T T2875.60. Garmin lists FLUX 2 at 16%, so raising this same requirement to 17% removes it and leaves the other three. Among the reviewed U.S.-listed free-standing rollers, Elite Nero is the app-controlled-resistance match for rollers + smart control + no cassette/Cog with earlier models excluded. Its electronic brake responds to supported app control up to Elite's stated 7% simulated grade, but rider balance is still required. Standard Arion MPN 0100501 has no documented resistance levels, Arion Mag MPN 0100550 uses a manually selected brake, Quick-Motion's three levels are also manual, Antares T1000 is a basic mechanical roller and Tacx Galaxia documents a swing frame rather than app-controlled resistance. These Tacx models are not interchangeable: Bushido T2780 is self-powered with a 15% maker grade figure; Flow T2240.60 is mains-powered at 6% and has a thermal-protection warning; Genius T2080 lists 20% and virtual downhill behavior, while its calibration support conflicts; Vortex T2180 lists 7% and has a full-power protection warning. At 16%, JetBlack VICTORY V2 joins the current Cog-and-Click direct-drive matches at its maker-listed 16% maximum; NEO 2T Cog/Click part 010-04791-60 and CORE 2 Cog/Click also meet the floor. Read VICTORY V2 and see the same direct-drive, Cog/Click and 16% query.

At a 16% floor, the direct-drive smart Cog/Click query with earlier=no returns eight reviewed packages, including current JetBlack VICTORY V2; the earlier V1 rework is excluded by the lifecycle choice. Review current V2 and keep those exact answers.

Raising the same current direct-drive smart Cog/Click query to 17% removes VICTORY V2 because its manufacturer-listed maximum is 16%; six other reviewed packages remain. See its 16% limit and the same answer at 17%.

At 17%, both VICTORY V1 rework and V2 leave the earlier-inclusive Cog/Click result because JetBlack lists a 16% maximum; seven other Cog/Click arrangements remain. The V1 rework assessment and V2 assessment distinguish the packages; see the same answer at 17%.

With wheel-on and no cassette held fixed, Tuo and ROLLR publish 10% limits while Saris M2 9930T publishes a 15% limit; all three meet a 10% floor.

At 11%, Tuo and ROLLR fall below their 10% specifications, while Saris M2 9930T remains through its published 15% maximum; Fluid², Mag and Mag+ grade is undocumented.

At a 15% minimum, Saris M2 9930T is the only reviewed wheel-on/no-cassette match; its exact-model page publishes 15%, while no other wheel-on package has a maximum at least that high. Read the M2 9930T assessment before treating the manufacturer's grade figure as an individualized climbing promise.

At 16%, Saris M2 9930T is also above its published 15% maximum; other current wheel-on/no-cassette sets have lower published maxima or unknown grade, so this exact reviewed query is empty. No currently reviewed wheel-on/no-cassette configuration has a documented maximum simulated grade of at least 16%. Saris M2 9930T publishes 15%; Tuo and ROLLR publish 10%; Saris Fluid², Mag and Mag+ lack a numerical grade value. This exact result is not a market-wide absence claim.

With direct drive, no cassette or Cog/Click, earlier generations excluded and smart control unfiltered, the 16% set is Elite Avanti, Elite Rivo, FLUX 2 T2980.60 and standard NEO 2T T2875.60. For this grade/package interaction, review NEO 3M 010-02808-60: its documented cassette-equipped direct-drive setup meets 25% and not 26%.

Garmin lists a 25% simulated-grade maximum for NEO 3M U.S. part 010-02808-60, which includes the cassette package; it meets the 25% minimum, unlike 24%-rated direct-drive cassette models.

Rollers plus no cassette/Cog, a 0% minimum and earlier generations excluded returns Elite Nero because Elite publishes a 7% maximum; the roller and package requirements do not imply that every drum design has a grade rating. Nero meets a 7% threshold but drops out at 8%. Quick-Motion, Arion, Arion Mag, Antares and Galaxia have no documented simulated-grade percentage, so unknown grade does not pass even at 0%. This is the assessed library, not a market-wide absence claim. See the exact rollers/package/0% result · Keep the same conditions at 7% · Raise it to 8%.

Under the same rollers + no-cassette + earlier=no conditions, an 8% minimum returns no reviewed rollers: Nero is capped at 7%, while Quick-Motion, Arion, Arion Mag, Antares and Galaxia have no published numeric grade. See that exact 8% result.

For the smart roller variant, keeping rollers + smart + no cassette/Cog + earlier=no fixed, Nero matches at 7%; at 8%, no reviewed match remains. See that exact smart roller combination at 7% · Raise the same smart roller combination to 8%.

No currently reviewed cassette-equipped direct-drive configuration reaches 26%; the NEO 3M part 010-02808-60 is listed at 25%, while the cassette-package set has no model above that threshold. This limited result is not a market-wide absence claim.

A grade cutoff can remove a model even when the mounting style and included drivetrain parts suit you. The 16-to-17% boundary removes the 16%-rated CORE 2 packages; the 18-to-19% boundary removes the 18%-rated Elite models. A cassette or Cog choice can narrow those sets again. Among the wheel-on/no-cassette models, Tuo and ROLLR publish 10%, while Saris M2 9930T publishes 15%; M2 is therefore the sole reviewed match at 11–15% and leaves at 16%. Novo Force, Qubo Fluid, Fluid² 9904T/9907T/bundle, Mag and Mag+ have no published grade percentage and cannot pass a numeric grade rule. The separate Arion Mag roller is also excluded because Elite does not publish a simulated-grade percentage for it.

The Nēra's published 20% cap creates another package-specific boundary: both reviewed packages pass a 20% minimum, then leave the results when the minimum rises to 21%. The cassette and Cog/Click variants share that grade claim but not the included drivetrain setup.

At 20%, the Nēra maximum is a package-aware boundary: both 010-02418-60 (cassette) and 010-04825-60 (Cog and Click) pass, then both fail a 21% minimum. Both NEO packages also clear 20% and 21%: the NEO 2T Cog/Click MPN 010-04791-60 and NEO 3M cassette MPN 010-02808-60 share the 25% published maximum without sharing package contents.

At a direct-drive Cog/Click minimum of 20%, NEO 2T 010-04791-60 remains alongside Nēra 010-04825-60 and KICKR v6 Cog; unlike the latter two, NEO's 25% limit also clears 21%.

At 21%, the current direct-drive Cog/Click set with earlier generations excluded already includes both the Justo 2 Cog/Click package (24% maximum) and NEO 2T 010-04791-60 (25%). With smart control also fixed as required, the same packages remain at 24%; at 25%, the Justo 2 Cog/Click leaves and NEO 2T alone remains. At 17%, NEO 2T Cog/Click part 010-04791-60 remains alongside the 18%-rated Avanti and Rivo Cog packages and the 20%-rated Nēra Cog package, while CORE 2's 16% maximum falls below the cutoff. At 25%, NEO 2T Cog-and-Click part 010-04791-60 is the only reviewed direct-drive Cog package that reaches this minimum: Justo 2 Cog/Click is rated to 24% and has dropped out. The 25% grade case with direct drive, Cog/Click and earlier generations excluded returns the NEO 2T 010-04791-60 alone from this reviewed Cog set; the Justo 2 Cog/Click is excluded at 25% by its 24% published limit. Moving the same query to 26% removes NEO 2T as well.
