Elite Justo 2 Yellow with 12-speed cassette review

A distinct yellow special-edition direct-drive smart trainer with a preinstalled 12-speed road cassette. A Germany-based seller page showed in-stock and said it ships worldwide to all countries; a possible U.S. destination is inferred from that claim, not confirmed by checkout or domestic-distribution evidence.

Sources checked 2026-11-01 · Our editorial approach

A Germany-based seller says it ships worldwide to all countries, from which a possible U.S.-destination route is inferred; no U.S.-specific checkout, official Elite U.S. distribution or seller carton is confirmed. Check destination acceptance, import costs, returns, warranty, exact cassette and adapters.

A useful fit for

A distinctive direct-drive match for someone who wants the Yellow edition's cassette-equipped smart setup and is willing to verify a cross-border order route, exact bicycle interfaces and the cassette's fit.

The main tradeoff

The 17 kg trainer still requires lifting and storage; its cassette and included axle standards do not fit every bicycle. A possible U.S. destination is inferred from a Germany-based seller's worldwide-shipping claim, not a confirmed domestic or importer offer or tested checkout; the seller does not itemize its exact carton, and Elite's sources conflict on flywheel mass and black Flex Feet movement.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does Justo 2 Yellow arrive with a cassette or Zwift Cog and Click?

Elite's exact Yellow model page and technical sheet describe a preinstalled 12-speed road cassette, not Cog and Click. The edition can use Cog and Click after a firmware update if you buy the separate upgrade, but the observed cross-border seller does not itemize its delivered carton. Confirm the actual box before purchase.

What uphill-grade limit does the Yellow edition publish?

Elite lists up to 24% simulated grade and 2,300 W at 40 km/h. Those are manufacturer limits, not measurements of this assessment, a promise about a particular rider or a guarantee that every app uses the trainer's full range.

Can Justo 2 Yellow run without an active app connection or power?

Elite documents two stand-alone modes: when powered, a gradient preset through My E-Training can continue offline; for a session without connection or power, the app can preset a brake-resistance level from 1 to 16 beforehand. That is not live app-controlled resistance during the unpowered ride.

A yellow special-edition Justo 2 with a preinstalled 12-speed road cassette, powered smart resistance, and several ways to ride offline. This is a source-based assessment of Elite's model documents and one cross-border seller listing, not a hands-on test.

What the Yellow package is

Elite treats Justo 2 Yellow as its own edition, not simply a yellow photograph of the standard U.S. Justo 2. The manufacturer identifies the global model code 0211005Y and lists a 12-speed road cassette already installed, a power adapter, front-wheel support, both black and red Flex Feet, and 36 months of My E-Training access. Its data sheet also lists a 17 kg trainer body and 110 kg maximum load. The cassette-equipped setup is a meaningful practical difference from Elite's separately defined Justo 2 with Zwift Cog and Click, which replaces a conventional cassette with the single-speed Cog.

TrainWelt, a Germany-based seller, listed the Yellow model in stock and its FAQ said it ships worldwide to all countries. That broad statement suggests a possible U.S.-destination route, but U.S. eligibility is an inference, not a destination-specific seller confirmation or checkout test. It is not evidence of U.S. warehouse stock, Elite/Todson distribution, completed U.S. checkout or the delivered carton. The page does not print Elite's 0211005Y code or itemize all contents. A retailer in India cross-references 0211005Y with UPC 8020775046302; that supports global identity only, not U.S. availability. Check destination acceptance, import charges, returns, warranty and the seller's box list before ordering.

Smart control and the published limits

This is a direct-drive trainer: remove the rear wheel and mount the frame to the trainer's axle. In its powered connected mode, Elite describes electronically controlled resistance, an integrated OTS power meter, ANT+ FE-C, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The brand claims under-1% power accuracy, up to 24% simulated grade and 2,300 W at 40 km/h. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or a prediction of a particular rider's climb. The 24% figure is a trainer limit, not evidence that the machine physically tilts the bicycle.

Yellow has more than a single connected routine. Elite describes an offline mode in which a gradient preset through My E-Training can be maintained while the trainer is powered but disconnected from software. It also documents a resistance-level preset from 1 to 16 for a stand-alone session without connection or power; the level is set in the app before the ride. That flexibility matters if indoor access to a power outlet is awkward, but an unpowered preset is not the same thing as live app-controlled resistance. For the connected training setup, the model sheet lists the adapter's 100–240 V AC input and 12 V, 1.5 A output.

Check the cassette and bicycle before ordering

The preinstalled 12-speed road cassette suits a particular shifting arrangement, not every bike. Elite lists compatibility with Shimano/SRAM 9-, 10- and 11-speed, Shimano 12-speed road, and SRAM SX/NX 12-speed on the supplied freehub. The exact cassette tooth range in the seller's carton is not established, and a speed count alone does not confirm chain, derailleur or frame fit. Compare the bicycle's drivetrain, clearance and axle with the model instructions.

Elite lists included 5 x 130–135 mm quick-release and 12 x 142 mm thru-axle adapters. Other options, including Boost, Super Boost, Specialized SCS and 135 mm adapters, are separate. No named adapter proves a particular bike fits. The seller gives no detailed carton list, so ask before ordering. A firmware update can enable separately purchased Cog and Click, but Yellow's documented box is cassette-equipped, not a preinstalled Cog package.

Movement, connections and storage

The edition includes two sets of Flex Feet to let the trainer move laterally. There is a manufacturer source discrepancy worth noticing: the technical sheet assigns 4.5 degrees to black feet and 7 degrees to red, while the current product-page table labels both colors as 7 degrees. The sources also disagree on flywheel mass, listing 7 kg on the product page and 7.2 kg in the technical sheet. Neither value should be presented as a measured weight; both discrepancies are kept open here.

Elite lists automatic calibration, power/speed/cadence reporting, dual Bluetooth connections and Wi-Fi firmware updates. Ethernet requires a separate Gateway. At 17 kg, the unit needs a lifting and storage plan; open dimensions are 570 x 720 x 520 mm, before allowing room to mount and ride. Elite lists a front-wheel support, but the official product image shows the trainer, not the complete carton.

Who should consider it—and what remains a check

Yellow is a reasonable configuration to investigate if you specifically want an Elite direct-drive smart trainer with a conventional cassette already fitted, the 24% published grade ceiling, and the offline preset modes. Its preinstalled cassette is more immediately useful than a bare cassette body when it matches the bicycle; it is less flexible than a cassette-free package for riders who need to choose their own freehub or sprocket arrangement. Its edition-specific color and included app period may matter to some shoppers, but they do not solve compatibility or shipping questions.

This assessment does not confirm TrainWelt's live U.S. checkout, the seller's exact carton, or Elite U.S.-importer coverage. The potential U.S. route is inferred from TrainWelt's broad worldwide-to-all-countries claim. Verify destination acceptance, taxes, warranty, returns, model code and box list; check cassette and axle fit; and keep the source discrepancies in mind. No price, stock guarantee, independent measurement, ride test or personal-use result is claimed here.
