Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this package include a conventional multi-sprocket cassette?
No conventional cassette is listed in the Cog/Click configuration. Elite describes the single-speed Cog as preinstalled and says to remove it before fitting a compatible 9–12-speed cassette; that replacement cassette is not listed as included. Check the seller's exact box description before ordering.
Explore this need in the finder →Will Zwift Click virtual shifting work in any cycling app?
No. Elite's current support article says Cog-and-Click virtual shifting is officially supported only with Zwift and requires the trainer and Click to connect by Bluetooth for those features. Elite says to remove the Cog and use a compatible standard cassette when using other apps.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the published 24% grade figure meet a 24% minimum?
Elite lists a 24% maximum simulated slope, so it meets a 24% published-spec minimum and falls short of 25%. This is a manufacturer limit, not an independently tested climb or a promise about a particular rider, route or bicycle.
Explore this need in the finder →This assessment is about the Elite Justo 2 with Zwift Cog and Click, not simply any Justo 2 listing. The manufacturer defines it as a separate preassembled package: a single-speed Zwift Cog and handlebar Click controller are fitted, while Elite's standard U.S.-importer Justo 2 is a cassette-equipped configuration. That difference changes what can be used immediately and which software feature you are buying.
Identify the Cog-and-Click box, not just the trainer family
Elite's product page describes Cog and Click as preinstalled and identifies a separate technical sheet. For the U.S. offer bridge, a current eBay listing from Brands Cycle and Fitness in Wantagh, New York names the exact Cog-and-Click configuration and gives UPC 8020775050224. That listing's MPN field says “Does Not Apply,” and its short item-specifics section does not itemize the Click controller or Cog even though the title names them. The manufacturer page confirms the configuration exists; the marketplace page documents a U.S.-located seller's offer, not an Elite U.S.-importer SKU, warranty promise or proof of everything in that seller's carton. Check the actual item description and get package confirmation before purchasing.
Do not confuse it with the standard Justo 2 sold through Elite's U.S. importer, Todson, which is identified as the separate 0211005EXUE package with an installed 12-speed road cassette. That cassette edition is a different product record and a better match if you want physical gears immediately. This Cog edition is the match only when the supplied virtual-shifting setup is what you want.
What changes when you choose the Cog
The Cog is a single sprocket rather than a multi-sprocket cassette. Elite says it is intended for bikes with 8–13-speed drivetrains and can be removed to install a compatible 9–12-speed cassette for other app setups. That broad speed statement is not an individual compatibility guarantee: chain width, derailleur setup, frame clearance and exact bicycle configuration still matter. A rider changing among multiple bikes may appreciate avoiding cassette swaps, but the Cog does not reproduce the physical gear range of every bike. Confirm the rear axle as well: Elite lists 130–135 mm quick release and 12 x 142 mm thru-axle adapters as included, with other standards available separately.
Virtual gears are the more consequential limitation. Elite's support guidance says Cog-and-Click virtual shifting is officially supported only with Zwift. For those functions, it also requires Bluetooth connections for both Click and the trainer; Wi-Fi or ANT+ does not replace that Bluetooth setup. The trainer itself can connect to other cycling apps, but Elite says to remove the Cog and fit a compatible conventional cassette for that use. If your main platform is Rouvy, MyWhoosh, My E-Training or another app, budget for a cassette and the setup work rather than assuming the Click buttons will shift there.
Strong published ceiling, not an independent performance test
Elite lists an integrated OTS power meter with claimed accuracy below 1%, a 24% maximum simulated grade, and 2,300 watts at 40 km/h. Those are manufacturer specifications. This research did not test the trainer, measure power or reproduce a climb; the percentage is a trainer simulation limit, not a guarantee about how a specific rider, route or gear choice feels. The 24% number is a real numeric boundary in the finder: it meets a 24% minimum, but not 25%.
There is one small specification disagreement worth keeping visible. The live web table lists a 7 kg flywheel, while the product-specific technical sheet lists 7.2 kg. Since Elite's own current sources do not agree, this assessment leaves flywheel mass unresolved instead of selecting the more convenient figure. The sheet lists the trainer at 17 kg and up to 110 kg supported load; those figures matter if you need to move the unit often or are checking rider-and-bike constraints.
Elite includes both sets of Flex Feet in the manufacturer's described package: the sheet differentiates black feet with 4.5 degrees of lateral movement from red feet with 7 degrees. It also specifies a 10 Hz data rate and ANT+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, though wired Ethernet requires the separately available Elite Gateway. These features broaden setup choices; they do not remove the need to confirm the exact box and software support.
Who should consider it—and what to verify
This configuration makes most sense for a rider already committed to Zwift who wants a high-end direct-drive platform with Cog and Click ready to use and who has checked their bike against Elite's fit information. It is less compelling if you prefer ordinary cassette shifting, routinely switch apps, want a fully enumerated seller box, or need an official U.S. importer part number as a condition of purchase. The current marketplace listing also says the seller does not accept returns, so verify terms and package contents before checkout rather than treating a marketplace title as a full specification sheet.
Before ordering, confirm the UPC and exact Cog-and-Click product title, whether the controller and Cog are both in the seller's box, the actual axle adapters, the compatibility of your chain and frame, the app/device firmware requirements, and the applicable service or warranty route. The U.S. listing is evidence of a named offer from a seller located in the United States; it is not a promise that the listing remains active, that stock persists, or that every offer with “Justo 2” in its title is this package. Read the standard cassette Justo 2 assessment separately if that is the version you are considering.
