A useful fit for

A useful comparison for a rider who wants direct-drive, app-controlled resistance, an integrated power-meter specification and a 12-speed cassette already fitted, after verifying that cassette and axle hardware suit the exact bicycle.

The main tradeoff

The supplied cassette is not universal, the rear wheel must be removed, and its 17 kg body and stationary-foot design are not the lightest or a fore-aft motion setup.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does this Justo 2 package include a cassette?

Yes. The US importer identifies package 0211005EXUE with a 12-speed road cassette installed; Elite's 2026 catalogue specifies an 11–34 Shimano 105 cassette. Confirm that cassette, freehub and your bicycle drivetrain match before purchase.

What is the published uphill grade limit?

Elite specifies simulated grades up to 24%. This is the trainer's published simulation limit, not a measurement of a particular rider's effort or a guarantee that every app uses the limit the same way.

Can I leave the rear wheel on the bicycle?

No. This is direct-drive: remove the rear wheel and mount the bicycle at the trainer axle. Choose a wheel-on model or rollers if keeping the rear wheel installed is essential.

The Elite Justo 2 is a wheel-off, direct-drive smart trainer whose value proposition is not just an incline number: the standard US package is supplied with a 12-speed road cassette, an integrated power meter and both sets of Flex Feet. That makes it a different starting point from the cassette-free Avanti and Rivo versions reviewed here. This assessment is based on Elite’s product documents and US importer listing; it is not a report of a ride, test or personal setup.

One flagship package, with a cassette already installed

Elite’s US importer identifies the standard Justo 2 as model 0211005EXUE and says a 12-speed road cassette is fitted. The manufacturer’s 2026 comparison sheet specifies a Shimano 105 12-speed 11–34 cassette for the standard model. That saves the separate cassette step only if this cassette and its freehub suit your bike. Elite lists compatibility with Shimano/SRAM 9-, 10- and 11-speed cassettes, Shimano 12-speed road, and SRAM SX/NX 12-speed; this is not a claim that every 12-speed drivetrain shares the same cassette standard. The manufacturer names Shimano CUES/LinkGlide among less universal compatibility questions in its support material, so verify the exact rear derailleur, chain, cassette spacing and largest cog before ordering.

Justo 2 still requires removing the bike’s rear wheel and mounting its frame onto the trainer axle. Elite lists quick-release 130/135 mm and 12 × 142 mm adapters as included; other standards, including some 135 mm, Specialized SCS, Boost and Super Boost arrangements, call for separately available adapters. “Direct drive” simplifies the tire interface, but it does not make every frame or drivetrain fit by default. Check the trainer compatibility table and the exact bicycle rather than assuming the cassette is the only fit issue.

What distinguishes it from Avanti and Rivo

Elite specifies an integrated Optical Torque Sensor power meter with accuracy under 1%, up to 2,300 watts at 40 km/h, and simulated grades up to 24%. The linked technical sheet lists a 7.2 kg flywheel, while the live product-page detail table shows 7 kg; either listed figure is above the 4 kg units shown for Avanti and Rivo. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements, and the flywheel discrepancy is a reason to compare the exact current document rather than rely on a family-level number. Avanti is the nearer alternative if you want an integrated meter and Wi-Fi but can accept an 18% grade limit, a 4 kg flywheel and no cassette in its standard box. Rivo also simulates up to 18% but estimates power to ±2.5% rather than using Elite’s listed integrated meter. The numbers describe different equipment and claims; they do not prove which machine will feel better to a particular rider.

The package includes black and red Flex Feet. Elite’s linked 2026 technical sheet distinguishes 4.5° for black and 7° for red, but the live product-page technical table currently labels both colors 7°; check the exact package documentation if this difference matters. They are alternate feet, not an active fore-and-aft motion system. The folded trainer is listed at 57 × 19.5 × 52 cm and 17 kg. Measure where it will live, consider the lifting involved, and check that your floor and riding position leave enough room.

Connectivity helps, but the whole setup still matters

Elite lists ANT+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an Ethernet option through its separate Gateway dongle. Its documentation describes automatic calibration, 10 Hz data transmission, a dual-Bluetooth connection, heart-rate and cadence bridge functions, and two stand-alone modes. With power and no app, one mode can hold a gradient preset; without power or an app connection, Elite describes choosing a resistance level in advance. The trainer’s AC adapter is part of the package, and powered simulation depends on a compatible app, device and connection. Treat these as documented functions, not a guarantee that your particular computer, app version or home network will pair without setup.

The standard cassette package is the clearest fit for someone who wants conventional bicycle shifting and broad software choice without buying a cassette separately. If you specifically want virtual shifting from the first session, Elite also lists a separate Justo 2 with Zwift Cog and Click package. Do not confuse that box with this cassette configuration: the supplied drivetrain parts and exact compatibility checks differ. Conversely, the Cog package is not automatically a better choice for a rider who needs a particular physical cassette or expects the Click buttons to operate in every training app.

Who should compare it—and what to verify

Put the Justo 2 on a shortlist when a wheel-off setup, high published grade ceiling, integrated power measurement and an installed road cassette are all relevant. Consider Avanti if the 18% limit is sufficient and its cassette-free package better fits your bike’s drivetrain plans. Rivo is a lower-spec smart-trainer comparison, not a cassette-included substitute. Wheel-on trainers avoid rear-wheel removal but introduce tire, roller-contact and axle-clamp checks of their own.

Before buying, match the exact 0211005EXUE listing, cassette speed and tooth range, rear axle standard, bicycle frame clearance, adapter set, AC supply region and the software you intend to use. Verify the current package and seller terms rather than relying on a photograph or a product-family name. This review interprets manufacturer and importer documentation; it does not claim ownership, hands-on testing, noise or power measurements, or customer experience.
